PAST EVENTS & AWARDS

2007

  • Awarded first place in the Chamber Choir as well as Sacred Choral sections of the City of Sydney McDonalds Arts Challenge
  • Performed Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy with Polyphony Choir, pianist Phillip Shovk and the North Sydney Symphony Orchestra (NSSO), as part of the NSSO’s 60th birthday anniversary celebrations. This concert was named ‘Community Event of the Year’ by North Sydney Council at its Australia Day celebrations
  • Participated in the Festival of Choirs, a biennial event presented by the Australian Musicians Academy 

2008

  • Awarded first place in the Sacred Choral section of the City of Sydney McDonalds Arts Challenge
  • Participated in the In Harmony Festival which celebrates cultural and social diversity through the joy of singing
  • Performance by invitation by Lane Cove Music Club (Australia Music Federation)
  • Performance by invitation by McArthur Music Club, Campbelltown (Australia Music Federation)

2009

  • Featured as guest artist at the final concert of the North Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s (NSSO) performing ‘Great Choral Works,’ such as Vivaldi’s Gloria in D, Mozart’s Lacrimosa from the Requiem Mass, Verdi’s Anvil Chorus  from Il Trovatore and Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor, amongst others
  • Participated in the Festival of Choirs, a biennial event presented by the Australian Musicians Academy 
  • Participated in the In Harmony Festival which celebrates cultural and social diversity through the joy of singing
  • Performance by invitation by East Killara Music Club (Australia Music Federation)
  • Performance by invitation by Wahroonga Music Club (Australia Music Federation)

2010

  • Awarded second place in the sections Choir Any Age and Sacred Choral of the City of Sydney McDonalds Arts Challenge 
  • Featured as guest artist at Joubert Singers’ Thank you for the Music concert

2011

  • Presented End of ’11 Concert, Wesley Castle Hill Uniting Church, showcasing 2011’s repertoire
  • Performed Christmas Carols at the Christian Reformed Church Castle Hill’s Christmas service

2012

2013

2014

  • Performed at the Borrodell Vineyard Choir Festival in Orange, sharing the stage with the Orange Male Voice Choir
  • Presented End of ’14 Concert, Wesley Castle Hill Uniting Church, showcasing 2014’s repertoire

2015

  • Presented 10th Anniversary Celebration Concert, performing The Peacemakers by composer Karl Jenkins

2016

  • Featured in The Events, a drama presented in the Belvoir St Theatre in Surry Hills, Sydney, with the well-known Australian actors Catherine McClements and Johnny Carr as the stars
  • Performed with One World Choral at Doltone House-Hyde Park at a corporate fund raising event, hosted by Wotton + Kearney Law Firm, for So They Can, a charity empowering women and children in East Africa through education
  • Featured as guest artist at One World Choral’s End of Year Celebration Concert, performing Motown Songs with OWC
  • Presented and hosted The Hills are Alive Choir Festival, a fund raising event in aid of Camp Quality, a charity organisation helping to improve the quality of life of children living with cancer. Other participating choirs were Hills Harmony Chorus, Kellyville Ridge Public School Choir, Mount St Benedict College Choir, Rock’n Soul Choir and Spirit of Sydney Chorus
  • Presented End of ’16 Concert, Galston Uniting Church, showcasing 2016’s repertoire
